Career Development Practitioner Certificate Program

The University of Winnipeg’s Career Development Practitioner Certificate program is an innovative new program initiative offered in partnership with Manitoba Jobs and the Economy to train individuals in the area of career counseling. This program combines the theoretical models of career counseling with practical tools such as job analysis, job trend forecasting, counseling techniques, assessment and profile inventories, and group facilitation.

Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education (CACE)

With the emphasis on lifelong learning in a global economy, there is a demand for adult educators and trainers who can facilitate the educational process and take a leadership role in the field of adult education.

This University of Manitoba Continuing Education program will develop and enrich your knowledge and skills in the practice of adult education through:

Applied Counselling Certificate Program (ACC)

This University of Manitoba Continuing Education program provides knowledge of the counselling process and practical counselling skills development. It is for people who are involved in direct counselling through their paid or volunteer work.

Participants’ varied workplaces include: health care, education, social services, government, vocation employment counsellors, managers and other workplaces where counseling takes place.

Both professional and paraprofessional counsellors will benefit from the program because if focuses on the sequential development of practical counselling strategies.
